About The Store

In May 2002, Krista K opened in the lively Lakeview neighborhood. Located on the corner of Southport and Cornelia, the boutique was the first upscale women’s apparel retailer in this now thriving shopping area. From the start, Krista K has sought to offer a thoughtful mix of the brightest new designers and perennial favorites. In December 2004, Krista K doubled the size of its original space to broaden our collection of denim and maternity. By 2006, the maternity collection had outgrown this space and in need of its own home. Thus in August 2006, Krista K Maternity + Baby opened its doors at 3530 N. Southport, which is just ½ block north of Krista K.

Today, Krista K Boutique’s top floor is devoted to beautiful collections such as mint Jodi Arnold, Catherine Malandrino and Marc by Marc Jacobs, stunning jewelry by Lana and Me & Ro and fabulous handbags by Treesje and Lauren Merkin. Consistently recognized for our extensive selection of denim, Krista K now fills the entire lower level with jeans and casual wear including new denim lines such as Anlo, J Brand and William Rast.

Krista K Maternity + Baby is dedicated to the stylish mom-to-be offering career, casual and cocktail attire. We feature a number of fashion-focused maternity collections such as Jules & Jim, Momzee and Cadeau, a Chicago exclusive. Additionally, Krista K has Chicago’s most extensive selection of designer maternity denim including Chip & Pepper, Citizens of Humanity, Habitual, J Brand, James,s Paige and Rock & Republic.

The Krista Behind Krista K

While living in the Southport neighborhood, Krista Kaur Meyers recognized the need for a unique women’s clothing boutique. Her personal experience helped identify the demand for maternity as Krista has three young children. Prior to opening the stores, Krista gained valuable retail knowledge through her work as a consultant for leading retailers such as Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Levi-Strauss as well as having a lifetime of shopping experience. Krista earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and has an undergraduate degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
